DX AHU (Blue Aluminum)

AHU – Air Handling Unit is a heat exchange and air handling unit, it creates clean air. It is used in HVAC systems or industrial workshops. AHUs are typically installed in medium to large commercial and industrial buildings.

AHUs are divided into two main types: gas AHUs (or DX AHUs) and water AHUs. The product presented in this article is a gas AHU (DX AHU) that uses an aluminum fin coil and R410a refrigerant.

Gas AHUs (DX AHU) is an AHU utilizing direct refrigerant cooling for air conditioning. The cooling coil directly cools the air passing through it through heat exchange between the refrigerant flowing in the copper tubes and the aluminum heat transfer fins. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the air, lowering its temperature before it is supplied to the conditioned space. A centrifugal fan provides the suction force to deliver the air to the designated area. Pre-filters and bag filters will filter the air before it is supplied to the usage space. For environments demanding higher levels of air purity, high-efficiency HEPA filters are necessary.
